Well, that says it all. I beat this the day the domain name ate bomb. They give you a menu so you can watch all the cut scenes. Since then my parents bought me an Xbox for my 29th birthday. This means more gaming, less screenshots. I’m working on an easy way to take and upload pics. Currently, I’m playing Oddworld:Munch’s Oddysee which is a lot different than Abe’s Oddysee. I also got Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance for some 2 player co-op killing with my wife.

I just got back from Nashville where I was mastering my album. It sounds AMAZING. Jim DeMain is a sonic magician who incidentally just mastered the next Frank Black record also. My CD should be available for purchase in June if I can keep away from the Xbox long enough…

Yee-hah!

Last night Tim and I had a good run of Halo lasting nearly 3 hours. We started from the beginning, of course. Many aliens were slaughtered and Tim put the Warthog ATV through its paces. Since I still have no good way of doing screen captures from the XBox I did my best to recreate the drama in the picture above. I’m going to be out of town for the next week so I’m handing the keys to the website over to Tim to let him drive for a while.

49 Mudokons saved, 0 casualties, 2 scars…

Well, it seems that eatmybomb has become “Tim and Jeff’s blog” but that’s fine with me. I’ll just keep posting as if all the world was watching and desperate for news of my gaming adventures. “People of Earth! I’ve made it through both Paramonia and Scrabania and I am on my way back to Rupture Farms to save the last 50 Mudokons! Please continue living! Hug your children, go shopping, plant a tree. Everything is okay!”

I Got You Abe

Looking through the archived posts, I saw that Jeff recently beat OddWorld: Abe’s Oddysee. I had played through half of it before getting too frustrated by the game saving. Now that I’m out of games, I think I’ll try and tackle it again; but slowly, maybe one or two save game points a day. It’s a great game with very interesting puzzle schemes using voice commands and possession. The voices of the mudokens and sligs are very entertaining.

This game has a lot of hidden levels. In fact, I dare say there are more hidden levels then there are non-hidden. For example, the screen above is about the third or fourth screen in the game, but I’ve already rescued 10 Mudokens because every other screen has two screens of hidden levels. My mission is to rescue 100% of the mudokens. Apparantly, there are different endings depending on how many you rescue. So far, so good.
