Sam Fisher, Superhero

Posted by Brixtone on Saturday, May 31, 2003

Next up on the list is Splinter Cell. We’re talking pure crack here folks. Looks great, plays great, and you can throw cans around. That’s what I’ve been looking for in a game. Can throwing.

I’d like to point out that Sam Fisher has recently knocked out everyone in the CIA. Everyone. I wonder if anyone at the CIA is playing this game at home and coming back thinking about knocking out his office mate. I would.

1 Down, 50+ To Go

Today, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers ate my bomb. I strongly recommend this game which looked very good on PS2. And I did take it to 100% though I should have stopped at the end of the main missions when the credits rolled.

If you’re wondering what those super special secret mission were for each character, they’re all the exact same freakin’ level (20-story tower of impossible fighting with no save points). Pretty unimaginative if you ask me. But on the whole, a good time.

Site Update

Ok, good news. The mission statement page is finally online and the editor info is up to date. Right now I’m neck deep in trying to finish this god-damned bonus mission of LOTR: Two Towers.

Tonight We’re Gonna Give It 35%

If I want to have any sort of success with Summer Gaymes 03, I will certainly take the games to where I feel I have beaten it. If I finish Midnight Club II and its says %82 and I have beaten all the racers, then that will have to do for me.

On another note, I’ve decided to go with one console game and one PC game. At the moment, its Midnight Club and the newly (drunk install) Half-life.

And Jeff, we all know you are too much of a pussy to have played high school football. So hop back on your rollerskates and pull up your legwarmers, let’s paint the town pink.

Last night for the first time in a long time, I got some quality gaming in. I started with Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers on PS2 and finished up with Jet Set Radio Future on XBox. Read on for more detail.

-Midnight Club II Update-

I’m currently sitting at 33.3% of the game finish and I have finally gotten to Paris from LA. I’ve also unlocked the two-week driving for maximum non-realistic driving. From the looks of things they have made the city maps very similar to the real thing. So here we have rock star games making a game about doing something completely unreal in a completely real world. Which only makes my urge to drive through the city of Boston like a maniac that much stronger.

Down in the Swampland

Posted by Brixtone on Saturday, May 24, 2003

Ok, so here I am in New Orleans for the weekend. It’s 80 degrees outside and sunny. And so begins my first personal battle with Summer Games 2003. What’s a guy supposed to do, play games or enjoy the rest of the planet?

Luckily, we’re rolling with the best of both worlds: a couple of unfinished games and a laptop. Booyah. The golden zone.

So here’s what I’ve got in the bag. We’ve got The Cameron Files 2: The Pharaoh’s Curse and Oddworld 2: Abe’s Oddysee. Here’s a little background on each. The Cameron Files 2 is a game that Erin C will be playing and reporting in on. Oddworld 2 is a game I’ve had sitting around since I lived in the dorm at Berklee. That’s way too long to have any game sitting over your head by the way. So I’ll try to strike a normal balance between enjoying a trip and video gaming which will probably mean playing games after everyone’s gone to bed and hiding in a closet. More later.

STAY INSIDE!

Sure enough its supposed to be crappy weather all weekend here in boston this long weekend. You can pretty much guarantee I’ll be inside played Midnight Club and Metal Gear Solid. That is of course if we can get the boys off of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters. It might be time to move the PS2 to another TV.

Well, folks, here we are. I’ll be spending most of this week finishing the site setup and then I’ll move on to helping other contributors get started. I will post a kickoff progress report soon.

I hope this proves to be an entertaining and informative project. See you soon.
