Two initial comments about the 360. If you don’t have HDTV, you’re missing out. The difference between 480p and 1080i is off the charts although I’m a little disappointed you can’t play the games in 4:3 aspect ratio at 1080i. Have to play them in letterbox.

Also, was the Xbox controller designed by a southpaw? The first two games I played, Tiger Woods 2007 and Test Drive have the main controller being the left analog, not the right. Very weird and hard to train my rather weak left thumb.

Next purchase: pc gaming rig

Following up on your HDTV comment: if you’re an editor for a games blog, and you get an xbox360 but don’t have HDTV…make sure you pay attention to that ‘noise’ about Dead Rising’s illegible mission text issue before you stupidly go and buy the game.

I feel like a kid again, sitting 2 feet from my big screen tv while playing games. On the bright side, I can wear a bag over my head (to hide from the scary zombies) without worrying about missing any mission updates…I can’t see them anyway.
