It's sort of the defacto if you are going to be playing games with other people. Plus there are games like Animal Crossing that can keep none-Gamers interested. I realize this isn't exactly suggestion for the big screen, but we have an NBA game and a NFL game and they look great on our 35", then again I don't believe the same quality connectors are avaiable for gamecube. If Sony fell off the earth I'd get an XBox, but I'd feel dirty doing it because I am envious of Bill Gates enormous wads of cash. And his classic Grecian profile. There are select titles for the Gamecube that made the choice for me such as Metroid Prime, Mario World, Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Party, and (in the future) Mario Kart.
