Setting ‘em up, and chomping ‘em down

Amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it…or in the case of Stubbs the Zombie, when you put other people’s minds to it.

I know I’m not the only one here at EMB playing this game, so I’ll spare you an indepth assesment. Long and short of it:

You need to play this game. Its short, sweet and quirky. Its original enough in the gameplay department to keep you playing thru its (lamentably) brief story.

This is for all the chips

Force Fields? Lasers? Retro-Futuristic Interior Decorating? This one has it all….

The game is as full of gore as it is campy dialog. It reminded me of the No One Lives Forever series in that I often would stop while I was playing the game to say “hey, this game is fun and funny”. Whenever I was on the verge of saying “okay, here comes the filler ‘rinse and repeat, run & gun section’ where they ran out of fresh material,” I would be treated to a unique boss battle or funny cut scene.

Hands off!

We all get by with a little help from our friends. Sometimes we just have to tear off our limbs and control their brains….but it’s the thought that counts.

I wont ruin anything for you, but rest assured of the following: the music is well done, voice acting is spot on, and although the story itself is minimal - the gameplay and humor keep you chomping along till its all over.

Snacktime!

Brains: It’s what’s for dinner!

The developers didn’t cheat when they put Stubbs together: they didn’t make him a nightvision-wearing, stealthy agent, or a wall climbing persian prince just to hedge their bets….he’s a zombie through and through. BUT - you can use his given talents any way to suit your own personal style, as long as you think it through. Like sniping your enemies? Find a safe spot and manuever your detachable hand behind an unsuspecting armed opponent to take control  of him. Rather overwhelm them with zombie numbers? Jump, slap and shuffle your way into their craniums with some melee action.

Either way - it ends happy. Enjoy!

ps - 4 down, 1 to go fellas!  In the words of Voltaire “Well then f**k you!”  haha!
