Dear Ubisoft,

Thanks for the map, assholes. Next time, give me something I can actually use. Geraldo Rivera makes better maps than this with his finger in the sand.

There is no more.

The map sucks.

Is that off Prince of Persia: Warrior Within?

Yep, Warrior Within.

I can’t believe they couldn’t come up with a better map. The game really needs one as it makes you revisit the same rooms over and over again; sometimes because you have to backtrack out of a building after you complete your objective and other times because you travel between the past and the present. The only thing the map is good for is when you think you’re going the wrong way you can see whether your “x” is getting further away or closer to the objective “x”.

It’s a lame attempt to make up for poor level design. This game came out really quickly after SoT and I guess they were able to do that by using the same rooms multiple times.

That is some of PoP:WW - how to get where you want to go, thats another matter.

I honestly think this was one of those things someone thought about on the last day of production -
“Sooo, what about a map?”
“A map? We didn’t need one before…”
“yeah, but just put something in there ‘for the people’.”
“i got this one the level designers drew on a napkin before they actually planned the game”
“perfect. Make it happen.”

The result, they took the MC Escher approach and made all roads lead to nowhere/everywhere.

What would’ve been super cool is a 3/4 overhead map of each room that looked like a pop up book. It’d be 2D/3D and rotatable showing your position and where you need to go. I think that could give you the general idea of your purpose without giving away how to accomplish it.

Thats a perfect idea. Seeing as the game provides you a flyby of each area when you enter it, I don’t think that would be giving away the store.

Please pass this along before they release PoP: The Two Thrones.
