EMB faithful:

I have no games for you this week, just news. Next week I’m moving to San Diego to found the west coast offices of EMB:

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be driving across Illinois, Iowa, AND Nebraska.

Okay, I’m also starting a new job, but in my head it’s solely to extend the reach of EMB. Between the movers taking my possessions, the need to move myself, and the need to start a new job, I’m likely to be offline for the next three weeks. Keep gaming, and hopefully I’ll have Locomotion screens for you in mid-September.

- Chris

ps. if you think this would have be an ideal time for me to get in some portable system reviews, send an e-mail to ‘bucho@eatmybomb.com’ with the subject line ‘buy chris a psp’. Let the voice of democracy ring.

It looks like they’ve really updated the graphics since the last time I saw The Oregon Trail. If I’m reading that map correctly, you should have a fairly straightforward drive as long as you stick to that big wide purple highway there. I hope the weather clears up once you get there, because it looks like a big red “END” banner is blocking the sun from reaching San Diego right now.

Seriously, though, best of luck with the move, the new job, and the hiatus. Perhaps we can get a rotating guest editor to fill your slot for a few weeks.

What, you can’t stop at an arcade along the way? Maybe play some Golden Tee at a rest stop? I’m sure there are a lot of Wal-Marts in the fly over states. Why not pop in and play some DS?

Because he’s going to work at a lab, that’s why. If he touches a Walmart display model DS on the way down, he’s likely to accidentally carry some weird new strain of superflu or hantebola with him into work and contaminate the whole project. Are you trying to get him fired and quarantined all on his first day of on the job?
