Speaking of multiplayer, maybe that's what is really missing here. You need smarter people to play with and against. Time to fire up Ghost Recon. Yeeehaw!

Chris, play Oddworld:Stranger's Wrath if you want a fresh take on the FPS. It offers a similar "Choose your style" gameplay where you can be stealthy or Rambo-esque, but with a weapon system you've never seen before and nice open boss battles that feel more like a head to head multiplayer session than a scripted battle. You can also choose to capture your enemies alive or dead depending on how hard you want to make it for yourself.

I thought it was going to be ported to PC, but I just read otherwise...

Got Xbox?

If it makes you feel any less dated, I'm presently working on the remakes of Final Fantasy IV (PlayStation) and Resident Evil (Gamecube). In a decade or so, I'll finally make it to WoW and Half Life 2. I'll probably only be able to play them on my future cell phone with 512 MB video RAM and a fully 3D-accelerated display. And the call quality will still sound like crap.
