It's short on the surface, but if you're into beating your high scores or collecting all of the available objects then it has quite a lot of depth and replay value.

Believe it or not this is the long shot game above all others that I wish they'd bring over to Xbox. Either that or it's the game that would convince me to buy a PSP if they ported it to that, which I assume would be fairly easy from all standpoints (controls, graphics, sound, etc).

I've heard nothing but good things, except that I've also read that it's fairly short. I can't bring myself to buy a PS2 just for a game I'll bust through in a weekend.

In any case, feel free to rejoice in the news of an impending <a HREF="http://ps2.ign.com/articles/601/601511p1.html">sequel</a>.

This is by far the most unique game I've ever played. Playing it at Jeff's had me searching Ebay for PS2's the next day. It's so infectious you'll see images on the insides of your eyelids when you're trying to sleep. I especially like picking up skyscrapers and hearing the people inside them scream.

A note of trivia: Katamari Damacy is Japanese for "lump soul"
