Yard Sale! Weapons, Armor! Cheap!

Posted by Ruckus on Wednesday, March 2, 2005

A co-worker of mine talked me into restarting Diablo II because he was having problems beating Diablo on his own. He felt that if I could bring up a character then the two of us could link up and feed Diablo the bomb as a team. In the time it took me to raise up an Amazon, however, he got bored and left me high and dry.

Since I don’t have any real motivation to beat the game now, I’ve become obsessed with collecting the set items. I’ve found the best way is to kill Mephisto, then loot his burning corpse. I’ve got a stash full of green set items and yellow unique items that are going to waste that I’d be happy to give out if anyone wanted them. Does anyone still play this game? Is anyone interested in some TeamEMB Diablo II?

When I read my own post to check that it was okay, it occurred to me that we really need a TeamEMB logo. Something we can slap on a screenshot as a watermark or on a T-shirt so we can be “cool”. Any ideas?

I like the TeamEMB logo idea. We can market it with our special sauce.

I created a simple yet effective EMB T-Shirt a while back.

I like the special sauce brand. I was also thinking of those old diner neons that say “Eat at Joe’s” (with appropriate word substitutions). Let’s see… something like this except with a bomb in the middle and the rim text saying “It tastes so good!”

Jeff, that was a shameless use of a photoshop trick. You’ve been trying to use that thing on something forever.

Mike, you’re right. You’ve seen me slave over that burned crate effect only to be left without a good excuse to use it. But now that it’s been used, I can move on. Time to fire up the next Photoshop Wow Book tutorial and we can make Chris’ neon sign idea a reality.

I think I need Photoshop installed on my work PC for its excellent Purchasing functionality. I’ll just go ahead and throw a ticket in the tracker for that.
