So I’m playing Castle Wolfenstein again and I get to this point where a zombie is made entirely of fire and throws the fire at me. I tried to kill him for 2 HOURS and not a dent. Am I missing something here. Any subtle hints would be fine. No outright solutions. I don’t want to feel like too much of a tool

Have you tried using the BFG? How about the nailgun?
Most of the baddies in this game have a specific weapon which causes them the most damage. Experiment and if you can’t find the right weapon, cast Holy Bolt or deploy a tactical nuke.

I usually try to back up down a hallway and attack from a distance using lots of grenades. If this is the first fire guy you’ve met, he’s probably the hardest due to the lack of space to maneuver. Just try to stay out of range around the corner or something. If all else fails, fucking cheat. You’ll be more of a tool if you get frustrated and quit than if you use a cheat code to give you a flak jacket so you can beat him. I remember being pretty beat up at that point.
