Syberia sucks!? I thought that was supposed to be one of the greatest PC adventure games of all time. But I trust your judgement. The bad news...Sam & Max 2 was cancelled. Any word on Runaway? http://www.runaway-game.com/

They cancelled it? They must've cancelled Full Throttle 2 also. It seems the doomsayers of adventure gaming are accurate, it feels like it really is dead. Grim Fandango was the last truly great adventure game I played.

The problem with Syberia is mainly gameplay issues. They're so enamored of their own lovely graphics that they constantly make you walk through 5 screens of scenery to get to a screen with things to interact with. That gets annoying when you're running around trying to figure out what to do. The other thing is that your main character has a cell phone and gets calls from her mom, fiance, and annoying friend that have nothing to do with the game, but are merely annoying subplots. So far some of the puzzles are lame also. I needed an oar from a boat but Kate refused to wade out and get it so I had to get a stick. After knocking the oar off the boat and into the 6 inches of water, she wouldn't touch it because it was muddy. I had to get this retarded kid named Momo to pick it up for me. Stupid Lucasarts and their stupid profit margins...
