For about…10 min. Then the lockups began again…and soon, we’re back to the red rings of doom.

Maybe I should have used thicker towels…

So I guess the answer is "D. All of the Above".

Nice. Or you could buy a $300 power conditioner to keep your power steady...

You should give it the towel treatment, then plug it directly into the wall:

I'd wrap it in a carpet and take it down to the docks gangster style. Then send some fish wrapped in newspaper to Bill Gates. He'll get the message...

Legend (and a number of YouTube videos) has it that if you wrap the failing XBox 360 in towels, fire it up for 15-20 min, and then let it cool, lo, and behold--problem solved.

Not having anything to lose, I gave it a try, and by God, if it didn't work. Green lights, baby.

This is a toughy...house fire, pile of crap, or applause...

For starters, I'm trying to figure out why the Xbox 360 and towels are being combined. Seeing as how you've recently received the "Red Eye of Doom", perhaps you are trying to remedy the situation. Maybe you're giving it a toss into a pile of towels like the falling Snuggle bear. Or perhaps it's working again and you are trying to dampen the noise from the console with a towel sound absorber.

Hell, I'm no good at differential equations, I'm going with house fire.
