Damn. We were just talking about Brixtone’s red-ring-of-death on his Xbox 360 today. It’s a good thing Microsoft extended the warranty for 3 years total; apparently it’s estimated that the machines have about a 33% failure rate. Hopefully they’ll be changing manufacturing processes so these things can last longer than 3 years.

This may sound ridiculous, but I’m actually afraid to turn mine on now. If it’s not on, it can’t break. Yay Microsoft.

Microsoft has extended the warranty to 3 years.
