Lego Katamari
This is only slightly more blocky than the actual game

As I said the other day, my new PS2 is specifically geared for bringing exclusives into my home. One of the more original titles to come along in years for any system is the roly-poly freakshow Katamari Damacy. You play the Prince of the Cosmos, whose kitten-huffing father, The King, has shattered the stars and tasked you with rebuilding them by rolling up all of earth’s crap. The game is a total head trip that is endlessly entertaining and will have you going back long after you’ve beaten the main story.

Hey, I never said it’d be a long post every day this week.

While I personally didn’t enjoy Katamari Damacy, I did find it interesting that the concept of the game was shamelessly and undeniable ripped off in an advertising campaign for Travelers insurance.

I think Katamari is one of the most enjoyable games to watch someone else play. I look forward to owning my own copy in 2010 when I buy my PS3.
